The Swartz Creek Band Boosters participates in the Meijer and Gordon's rewards programs. Anyone can join and receive the member card. By using the cards, the band boosters receives a percentage of all sales at that store. See the Fundraising section for more details.
On Monday, October 20th the Swartz Creek Band Boosters and the Instrumental Music Department kicked off our annual fundraising season. Our program has many financial needs in order to continue to flourish. The Band Boosters (any parent with a student in band) have to try and meet a $21,000 budget set for this school year. Some of the immediate needs are:
* Additional marching uniforms to meet the need of our growing SCHS Dragon Marching Band.
* Additional Gowns and Tuxes again to meet need of our growing Concert Band and Wind Ensemble.
* Instrument repairs and new musical instrument purchases to replace older instruments reaching the point of disrepair.
* Scholarships – Each year the Swartz Creek Bands Boosters award over $8,000 in scholarships for students to attend summer music camps, participation in performing ensembles that travel domestically and abroad.
* Sound Reflective Shell for the Performing Arts Center.
* Supplement the cost of supplies such as reeds, valve oils etc.
* Essentially any of our needs that are not funded by the school district.

Patron Donors will have their names listed in all 8 of our Instrumental Music Department’s Concert Programs for 2014 – 2015 Performance Season. Below is a list of other fundraisers that we will be doing throughout this school year. Although we never make fundraising mandatory, we try to stress the importance of raising funds. Please note that ALL Fundraisers are prepay. All monies are due when the order is placed and checks can be written out to 'Swartz Creek Band Boosters'.
“Century Pride” Brochure sale from Century Resources Fundraising begins 10 / 20th. Orders are due 11/03. Products arrive sometime during the week of 11/24.
Poinsettia Sale begins the week of 11/10. Orders due 11/21. Poinsettias will be available for pick up at each Holiday Concert.
Little Caesars Pizza Kit Sale begins in early January. Products will arrive in time for Super Bowl Sunday!
Spring Flower, Plant and Vegetable
Sale begins in early April. Product arrives in time for Mother’s
Although our fundraising season is primarily set for the 2014 – 2015 school year, we are always interested in suggestions for new fundraising opportunities. Rather than running 10 – 15 small fundraisers that only generate a few hundred dollars each and burn everyone out, we are looking for opportunities to generate between $5,000 - $7,500 dollars for each sale. Please remember, we need to raise over $21,000 in funds to meet the needs of our students this school year. It is vital that all stakeholders participate in one or more of our fundraising opportunities. Your generosity and participation is greatly appreciated!
